Women’s March
The first in a two-part series on women's rights, this piece was made in response to the Women's March of January 21, 2017 — the largest single-day protest in US history, held the day after Donald Trump's inauguration.
The egg has long symbolised fertility and female reproductive life. Here, crowned with the pink pussyhat that became the march's defining image, it stands as a symbol of solidarity, resistance, and the fight to be heard. Simple in form, pointed in intent.
